Frequently Asked Questions

All carpets and rugs are dyed.
Carpets are dyed at the factory and can be very successfully re-dyed, provided they are made of nylon or wool, both of which are dyeable materials. Wool and silk rugs are made from fibers or yarns that have been dyed prior to being woven into a rug and may also be very successfully re-dyed.

How long will the color last?
We guarantee that our dyes are permanent and colorfast for the life of the carpet.

Are the dyes toxic/safe?
All dyes and solutions that we use are completely non-toxic and odor-free. Our process is fully safe for you, your children and your pets. Material Safety Data Sheets are available for your inspection.

How long does it take to dry? How long before I can walk on the carpet?
Freshly-dyed carpet may be walked on immediately. Though the carpet will be slightly damp, the dyes are immediately colorfast. Carpet will fully dry in a few hours.

Will it change the texture of the carpet?
The dyes are diluted in water prior to injecting and the liquid is extracted afterwards. There are no changes to the texture of the carpet or rug with the dyeing process.

Should I have the carpet cleaned first?
It is not necessary to pre-clean the carpet. Our process is a one step process that will both clean and dye the carpet. We add gentle cleaning solutions to the dye mixture that will leave you with a beautiful new color and clean carpet.

Are the services provided on-site?
Carpet dyeing services are provided on-site. Persian and Oriental rug cleaning and color restorations are completed in our specially-equipped work shop.

Is carpet dyeing cheaper than replacing the carpet?
Yes! It is much cheaper to have your carpet dyed than to replace it. Carpet dyeing will typically save you 65-75% when compared to the cost of new carpet replacement.

Your satisfaction is guaranteed.
